Just the altitude, at 3,480 m asl, makes the trip to Plateau Rosà worthwhile, not to mention that from the arrival station terrace you can admire the amazing 4,000 metre peaks.
From Mt Cervino to Mt Blanc, Gran Paradiso to Mt Rosa and the nearby Swiss peaks, and down to the Mt Monviso peak in Piedmont.
Visit the museum also, the highest in Europe "A Mountain of Work", here you will find the bronze map indicating the directions, name and height of all the 38 of the 4,000 m peaks (another record!) in the area.
